She was born on August 21, 1949, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to her proud and loving parents, the late Benjamin Jr. Davis and Mary Ellen Davis.Linda was a woman of grace, joy, and unwavering faith. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1967 and continued her studies at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and later at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas.A dedicated public servant, Linda retired after over 32 years of distinguished federal civil service with the United States Air Force. Her final position was Report of Survey Manager at the United States Air Force Academy, where she was admired for her professionalism, integrity, and commitment to excellence.Linda married her best friend in life, Wardell Adams. Their life together was filled with adventure, taking them to Hawaii, Germany, Virginia, Illinois, Texas, Maine, and Colorado. Wherever they lived, Linda embraced the community, made friends easily, and found joy in new experiences.Linda loved the Lord deeply and identified proudly with the Baptist faith. No matter where the military sent them, she found a church home and served faithfully. In Colorado Springs, she worshiped at Trinity Baptist Church before becoming a charter member of Fresh Start Baptist Church, where she served as church treasurer and missionary. Her kindness, generosity, anda servant's heart touched countless lives.Linda's personality was bright, warm, and full of laughter. Her favorite thing in the world was seeing other people smile, and she loved to laugh right along with them. She never wanted to miss out on anything and was always ready to participate in activities, big or small.She enjoyed "oldies but goodies" music, especially Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye, and she loved watching comedy movies. When it came to sports, she happily rooted for whoever was winning, because she simply enjoyed the fun of the moment. Movie nights were especially meaningful to her, especially with her favorite popcorn snack.Linda enjoyed walking at night, finding peace and reflection in the quiet hours, and she delighted in starting her morning with a warm cup of hot tea and honey. She loved fried foods, down-home cooking, biscuits and gravy, and all kinds of baked goods, but she did not care for chocolate.Above all, Linda cherished her family. She leaves to celebrate her life and legacy: Her husband, Wardell Adams; daughter, Tiffany Branea Adams Gordon (Randy); and son, Adrian Wardell Adams (Brianna)Three beloved grandchildren: Sisters, Wanda Branea Davis Melton, Debra Ann Davis Mack, and La Doris Davis Smith(Harold) Brothers Benjamin Charles Davis (Diane) and Rodney Lewis Davis (Faye); numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many devoted and loving friendsLinda's life was a beautiful testimony of faith, joy, service, and love.
