Lindell "Linn" Gene SilveyJan. 4, 1943-Feb. 16, 2026Lindell "Linn" Gene Silvey, 83, of Humansville, passed away peacefully at home Feb. 16, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born Jan. 4, 1943, in St. Louis, to Merlin Silvey and Aleene Morgan Silvey.Linn grew up in southeast Missouri in Belgrade and Potosi. His family moved to Kansas City where he graduated from Ruskin High School.Linn served in the Air Force during the Viet Nam War from 1962 to 1966.When he returned, Linn owned a home construction business for more than 30 years, building homes in the Kansas City area.Linn led a full and active life and was very proud of his family. He loved fishing and being outdoors. Linn was a man of strong faith and was a member of Humansville Cornerstone Community Church.He was preceded in death by his father, Merlin Silvey and mother, Aleene Norton;brother Harold Ray Silvey who passed away in Viet Nam; grandson, Jacob Middaugh; and his grandparents Dolph and Sally Marler.Linn is survived by his wife, Shirley (Foote) Silvey; daughters, Katherine (David) Brundage and Linda Silvey (Ronnie Middaugh); grandchildren, Samantha (Ben) Tucker, Shannon Brundage, Sara Brundage, Shae (Amy) Brundage, Kyle (Kara) Middaugh, Kaira (Deven) Peltier and Mysti Middaugh; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Linn is also survived by his brother Gary (Lynn) Silvey and family and sister Sandy (Les) Hudson and family.Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.A memorial service will be held at a later date.
