Linda T. Benincasa

Linda Lou Trenholm Benincasa, 82, of Lake Katrine, passed away on March 13, 2026, at Northern Dutchess Hospital.

Born on July 10, 1943, in Kingfield, Maine, to James Benjamin Trenholm and Clara Louise (Dodge) Trenholm, Linda cherished her upbringing in the backwoods of Maine and always considered it her true home. In 1966, she married Michael Benincasa Jr., the boy who lived across the street. Together they built a life centered on family, helping others, and their faith. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Linda spent many years as a cherished child-care provider to countless children.

Her greatest joy came from her eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Micheal Collyer and her husband Curtis, James Benincasa and his wife Lisa, and Holly Goodin and her husband Marcor; her grandchildren, Brendan, Jessica (CJ), Andrew (Megan), Kristina (Bryan), Christopher, Daniel (Madisen), Tyler, Michael, Chloe, Emma, and Ana; and her great-grandchildren, Wells, Owen, and Marilla. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Trenholm, along with many nieces, nephews, her cousin Theo, and dear friends.

Linda was predeceased by her husband, Michael Benincasa Jr., in 2019, and by her siblings, Betty, Bud, Jean, Norm, Bob, Ted, and Joe.
