Linda Sue Donaldson

Linda Sue Donaldson, 78, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, and was reunited with her beloved husband, Gary, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Born on August 7, 1947, in Indianapolis to the late John and Maxine Troutman, Linda was the steadfast cornerstone of the Donaldson family. She offered unwavering support to Gary throughout his military service and his long career as a police officer with the Speedway Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.

Married on July 22, 1966, Linda devoted her life to her family as a loving wife and mother. She possessed a deep compassion for animals and was a lifelong lover of dogs and cats. Known for her kind heart, she welcomed many strays into her home and found great joy in the companionship of her pets. So many animals found their way to her porch that her family affectionately called her Snow White.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary E. Donaldson. Linda is survived by her children, Patrick Donaldson and Pamela (Mike) Chesher; her sisters, Kathy (Bill) Wainscott and Janice (Jerry) Burk; her sister-in-law, Gloria Summerlot; and her six grandchildren, who were her greatest pride: Reese Chesher, Carter Chesher, Bailey Chesher, Shelby Andersen, Taylor Andersen, and Logan Donaldson, along with her great-grandson, Micah.
