Linda Sue Dace Canoy

Linda Sue Dace Canoy, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in Leesville, Louisiana. Born on June 21, 1947, in Sullivan, Missouri, to Quentin and Geneva Dace, who preceded her in death, Linda lived a life marked by love and generosity.

She is survived by her daughter, April Longsworth (Jay) of Leesville; brothers, Jimmie Dace (Doris) of Missouri, and Ralph Dace of Leesville; sisters, Mary Ann Center of Missouri, Billie Joyce Witt of Missouri, Dianna May Richards (Dave) of Ohio, Judy Kay Hartung (Paul) of Missouri, and Beverly Daniel of Missouri; grandchildren, Emillio Canoy, Preston Canoy, and Ashley Canoy; great-granddaughter, Evie Canoy; and a host of nieces and nephews. She also cherished her Canoy family.

Known for her big heart and selfless spirit, Linda was always willing to lend a helping hand or offer support to those around her. A dedicated and hardworking woman, she devoted herself to providing for and enriching the lives of those she loved most. She found simple joys in watching old movies, celebrating everything Christmas, and quietly contributing behind the scenes with a local dance company.
