Linda Sue Colvin

Linda Sue Wise Colvin, age 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Springview Nursing and Rehab.

She was born on April 1, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky,  to the late Noah and Evelyn Howell Tindall. Linda found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, including her love for flowers , hummingbirds and listening to music. She also enjoyed going to Dairy Queen but most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Colvin, who was the love of her life; two daughters, Dianna Lynn Smith and Tina Kennedy; a son, Thomas “Tommy” Dowell; a brother, Michael Elble; and three sisters, Paula Ofsanko, Pat Duncan, and Betty Fusting.

She is survived by her two daughters, Anna Tungate (Dale) and Sherry Hodge (Mike); Linda also leaves behind ten grandchildren: Greg Tungate (Stacy), Kandy Rea Barnes, Darrell Glen Smith, Stephanie Smith, Ashleigh Brown, Krystal Smith (Ryan), Dustin Hill (Brianna), Kristin Kennedy, Jeremy Hodge (Chaeli) and Micah Leslie (Dusty); several great-grandchildren; one brother, David Elble (Lisa), and her son-in-law, Bill Kennedy.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Rogers Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in the Clarkson Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 8 PM, Wednesday and after 9 AM, Thursday at the funeral home.
