Linda S. Wells

Linda S. Wells, 90, of Media, formerly of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born on December 6, 1935, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Dale and Virginia (Metz) Wells, Linda lived a life marked by curiosity, compassion, and quiet determination.

She found joy in sailing, traveling, and cheering for her grandchildren at their sporting events. A dedicated counselor and entrepreneur, Linda owned and operated Linda’s Driving School until selling the business in 1987. She then moved to Florida, where she earned her college degree from the University of South Florida, followed by a Master’s and Doctorate in Philosophy. There she opened a consulting practice, continuing her lifelong commitment to helping others through guidance and professional support.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her two eldest sons, Jeffrey Morrison (survived by his wife Meg) and Craig Morrison. She is survived by her children Vince McAneney (Debbie), Gary McAneney (Stephanie), Tim McAneney (Tracey), and Terry McAneney (Nicole), her sister Nancy Osborne (Jim), 19 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
