Linda Rae Perez

June 9, 1959 March 6, 2026

Mission Viejo, CA

Linda Perez passed away peacefully at her home in Mission Viejo on March 6, 2026, with her husband Ruben by her side. Born on June 9, 1959, in Ohio, she moved with her family to Orange County, California, at just two months old and remained there for the rest of her life.

A gifted travel professional, Linda’s passion was sparked by a European Highlights tour her parents gave her upon high school graduation. She went on to serve with the Globus Family of Brands for 38 years as an international travel director, crafting memorable journeys for thousands of travelers worldwide. It was during one of those tours in Argentina that she met Ruben Perez. They married in 1999 and built a life centered on shared adventure, together exploring more than 75 countries while Linda visited over 90. When not traveling, they found simple joy and laughter at home in the company of their guinea pigs.

Linda had a remarkable gift for making others feel truly heard, understood, and valued. She gave generously of her time, attention, love, and wisdom. A lifelong learner who faced every challenge with courage and grace, she experienced a deep spiritual renewal around 2010, drawing strength from Psalm 23 and her faith in God. This transformation touched many lives, especially within her church family in Mission Viejo, where she served in children’s ministry and as Missions Prayer Coordinator. Her heart for those less fortunate was evident in all she did.

She is survived by her beloved husband Ruben Perez, her dear sister Diane Peters and brother-in-law Jeff Peters of Tucson, Arizona, her nephews Justin and Brandon, and countless friends and colleagues she treated as family. Her legacy of kindness, excellence, and adventure will continue to inspire all who knew her.
