Linda Peters

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Linda Peters of Thorsby, Alabama, who passed away on March 8, 2026 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Linda Peters to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaither Richardson and Ada Lee Carey Peters; her husband Billy Peters; and her siblings, Gay Howard, Donnie Richardson, Ann Baugh, Jimmy Peters, Nathan Peters and Susan Peters.

She is survived by: her children, Charles Cater of Thorsby, Johnny Peters (Angie) of Jemison, Bill Peters (Monica) of Hartselle and Cheryl Brown (Frankie) of Thorsby; and her siblings, Faye Ross (Steve) of Bessemer, Phillip Richardson (Rebecca) of Quinton, Tracy Peters (Arlene) of Maplesville and Thomas Peters of Grove Hill. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home (1709 Lay Dam Rd, Clanton, AL 35045). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at the Mineral Springs Baptist Cemetery (8316 Co Rd 51, Clanton, AL 35046).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made toward funeral expenses through the funeral home website or at the funeral home office.
