She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Cornwell and Frances (McDonald) Cornwell, and daughter Tina Marie Phillips.Linda leaves behind her brother, Clark Cornwell; her sister, Elise (Cornwell) Buckner; and her children, Michael Dunn, Linda (Dunn) Gain, and Mathew Margolis, her 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.Linda, also known as Cassie, moved to Baltimore with her family when she was in elementary school and remained there until the early 80's when she moved to Florida. The majority of her working career, over 40 years, was spent as a Hospice Nursing Assistant. Cassie used her skills from this job and played an integral role in caring for both her mother and father in their later years.Cassie enjoyed gardening and was happiest planting, weeding, and pruning. From flowers to fruits and vegetables, she had a proverbial green thumb.Linda (Cassie) loved cooking. She watched a variety of cooking programs, owned a bookcase filled with cookbooks, and had kitchen cabinets overflowing with the latest cooking gadgets.Cassie enjoyed cooking for friends and family and especially liked to try new recipes. Even during her battle with cancer, anytime she felt up to it she could be found in her kitchen making the latest recipe that she had run across.Cassie was an independent, strong woman. There was no job that she wouldn't attempt.Cassie enjoyed the company of friends and went camping and to many gatherings where she always brought one of her delectable dishes. Most famous for her chocolate fudge and apple pie moonshine.In Lieu of flowers, Cassie's favorite charity was St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In addition, you may also donate to the Notre Dame Catholic School Tree Fund.
