November 30, 1950— March 8, 2026
Cudahy, WI
Linda Kay Moskonas of Cudahy, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away quietly at home with her family on March 16, 2026, following a five-year struggle with Parkinson’s disease complicated by a COVID infection. She was 75.
Born to Loretta and Russell Homerding in Wausau, Wisconsin, on November 30, 1950, Linda graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communicative disorders. She worked as a speech therapist in private practice before becoming a dedicated educator, teaching for 25 years in the Tri-County Area School District in Plainfield, Wisconsin, until her retirement.
While attending UW-Eau Claire, she met her husband, Ted, and they married on August 12, 1972. Linda cherished reading, traveling, camping in Wisconsin state parks, and above all, spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Ted; her son Micah Moskonas of Cudahy; her daughter Sarah Moskonas, Sarah’s wife Kristin Johanneck, and their four children, Harvey, Thea, Tony, and Ruby, all of Cudahy; her brother Gordon Homerding of Colorado; her brother-in-law Steve Hildebrandt; her niece Jennifer Hildebrandt; and her nephew Brian Hildebrandt of Kendall Park, New Jersey; as well as many other loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Pamela Hildebrandt, and her brother Randy Homerding.
