Linda May Buchan

Linda May Buchan

Regina, SK

Linda May Buchan (née Coley) passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 77 after facing cancer with courage and grace. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, on January 13, 1949, she was the fourth of five children of Thomas and Gwyneth Coley. She grew up in a modest, loving home with her older brothers Sidney and David, older sister Susan, and younger sister Betty.

In 1968, Linda married the love of her life, Dwight Robert Buchan. Together they built a warm and close family, raising their children and later cherishing their grandchildren, who remained the greatest joy of her life. Her deep capacity for love and steadfast support left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Linda formed many enduring friendships, particularly within her knitting circles and with the Patterson family. Yet her strongest bonds were with her sisters Susan and Betty, relationships marked by unwavering loyalty and affection. She was known for her passion for knitting, creating treasured gifts for family and friends, and for her extensive collections of salt-and-pepper shakers, dolls, and yarn.

She is survived by her devoted husband Dwight; her children Tim (Jolene), Debbie, Brent (Ashley), and Jeff; her grandchildren Taylor (Katrina), Bryce, Remy, Kylie, Kobe, and Carson; her brothers-in-law Lorne, Calvin, and Mark (Nancy); her sisters-in-law Elva and Bonnie; and her extended family and friends. She is now reunited with her parents, Tom and Gwen, and her siblings David, Sidney, Susan, and Betty.
