September 5, 1958— March 1, 2026
Durand, WI
Linda M. Miller, age 67, of Durand, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Dove Healthcare West in Eau Claire, surrounded by her family, just seventeen days after the death of her beloved husband, Ray.
Born on September 5, 1958, in Wisconsin Rapids to James and Eva (Peterson) Fekete, Linda graduated from Lincoln High School in 1976. She worked at Hamel Forest Products and American Images (Skypix Inc.), and while raising her children she sewed clothing for teddy bears and dolls from home. Later she was employed at Kwik Trip, Scheels IGA, and Marron Foods.
On September 14, 1979, she married Ray L. Miller Sr. and welcomed his daughter into her heart. Together they raised two spirited, stubborn, and deeply loved sons while building Miller Custom Furnishings, where they worked side by side crafting and installing custom kitchen cabinets, bedroom and living room furniture, and nearly anything their customers dreamed up. Linda was a devoted wife and mother with a strong yet gentle spirit. Her home was filled with the warmth of many beloved pets, and she found joy in tending plants and flowers, fishing, solving puzzles, and gathering family and friends for lively games of cards and dice.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Jay) Mattheis of Wisconsin Rapids; sons Ray (Chrissy) Miller Jr. of Mondovi and Lloyd (Nicole) Miller of Durand; seven grandchildren, Mackenzie (Brett) Hasbrouck, Kyle Mattheis, Kayden, Landen and Jayden Miller, Kegan Wittig, and Brady (Rylan Prissel) Miller; and one great-granddaughter, Briar Hasbrouck. She is also survived by her brother Emery (Alberta) Fekete and sisters Dorothy (Marv) Goldberg and Theresa (Hubert) Malsin, as well as brothers-in-law Ross (Linda) Miller and Rusty (Lori) Miller. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, sister Carol, brother Martin, and in-laws Russell and Belva Miller.
