Johnson, age 77, of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 5:25 am on Tuesday March 17, 2026, at Majestic Care of West Allen, Fort Wayne. Born on December 24, 1948, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Harold and Ardith (Baron) Baker.Linda attended Columbia City Joint High School and then went on to work as a semi-truck driver. She also drove a dump truck and plow truck for the Indiana State Highway Department until her retirement in 2009.Linda was a nature lover and enjoyed canoeing, camping, and making Native American jewelry.Survivors include her children Donya (Craig) Larue of Columbia City, Deana Romero of Fort Wayne, and David Johnson of Columbia City; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings Lonald "Lonnie" Baker of Fort Wayne, Dennis Baker of Fulton, MS, and Brenda Dempsey of Mississippi; son Sierra (Kim) Dingus of North Carolina.She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Thomas Baker and Ricky Baker, and grandson Mason Trowbridge.Friends may call on Thursday March 19, 2026, from 2:00-3:00 pm at DeMoney Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.Memorial contributions in memory of Linda may be made to St. Joseph's Indian School.Visit www.demoneygrimes.com to send family condolences or to sign the online guest register.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
