Linda M. Hoppel

Linda M. Hoppel, 81, of East Liverpool, Ohio, passed away on March 9, 2026, at Crossroads at Beaver Creek.

Born in East Liverpool on September 18, 1944, Linda was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruth B. (VanDyke) Barnes. A graduate of Beaver Local High School Class of 1962, she devoted many years to the Beaver Local School District, first as a bus driver and later working in the cafeteria at Calcutta Elementary.

Above all, Linda cherished her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took great pride in watching her family grow. She will be remembered for her kindness and the deep love she had for those closest to her.

Preceding her in death was her brother, John H. Barnes. Linda is survived by her two sons, Doug Hoppel and his wife Jodi, and Todd Hoppel and his wife Beth; five grandchildren, Carsyn Hoppel, Chansyn Hoppel, Chandler Carr and her husband Kris, Hillary Berger and her husband Jake, and Harrison Hoppel and his wife Hannah; and great-grandchildren Rhett Berger, Cassidy Berger, Beau Berger, Hudson Hoppel, Miles Hoppel, and two on the way.
