(Roy) Ashley, 78, passed away Saturday morning, March 7, 2026 at the North Country Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Linda was born May 13, 1947 in Massena, the daughter of late Wilson L. and Martha M. (DeGre) Roy. She married Keith Fregoe however, their marriage ended in divorce. She later married William Ashley and their marriage ended in divorce.Linda was a hand lacer and sewer at the Bombay Slipper Factory for 9 years before she started working in local flower shops as a floral designer. Throughout the years, she worked at Verville's, Nancy's, Phil's, and Jay's Bouquets. She was extremely artistic and had a love for painting, drawing, sewing, baking, and cake decorating. She enjoyed dancing and playing cards. She cherished the time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She will fondly be remembered as everyone's "grandma and aunt."Linda is survived by her sister, Judy Rousell of Colton; her nieces and nephews, Sonny and Jeffrey (Heather) Rousell, Michelle (Jason) Woodall, Carrie Eastwood (Scott LaPage), Jeff (Lyn) Shatraw, Trace and Kurt (Sue) Charland; and numerous great nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Sharon Shatraw and Nancy Charland; and her nephew, Chris Rousell.Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, however there will be no services at this time.Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
