Linda passed away peacefully at Loyola Medical Center with her family by her side.Linda was born on February 7, 1948, in Morris, Illinois, to Arnold and Elna Sampson.Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who cherished her family above all else. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking for those she loved, crocheting, and was a lifelong Elvis Presley fan.She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Elna Sampson; Ronald Lingle, the father of her children; and her sister-in-law, Carolyn Sampson.She is survived by her children: Brett Lingle; Eric Lingle (Donna); Marc Lingle (Jessica); Julie Anderson (Marc); Amy Chaney (James); and Ashley Thomas.She was a proud grandmother to Tristen, Jordan, Autumn, Connor, Logan, Kenzie, Keira, and Sawyer.Linda is also survived by her siblings, Kathy Schaefer and Larry Sampson, and her good friend, James.Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will take place at a later time. The family asks that you remember Linda in your own way and keep her memory alive.She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
