Linda Lee Dale Muse, 88, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on March 6, 2026. Born on September 9, 1937, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Plumer Ray Dale and Pearl Houpt Dale, she was raised in Hot Springs and spent much of her life in various towns across Arkansas before moving to Huntsville to be closer to family.
Throughout her life, Linda’s world revolved around family, friends, and neighbors, often blurring the lines between the three. She had a remarkable gift for welcoming people into her life and making them feel they belonged, happiest when her home was full. An avid sports enthusiast, she especially enjoyed cheering on her beloved Arkansas Razorbacks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Muse, and her brother, Frederick Dale. Survivors include her son, Fred (Jude) Muse; daughter, Dale (Ken) Slayton; four grandchildren, Victoria Slayton, Stuart Slayton, Audrey Muse, and Jake Muse; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. The caregivers and staff at The Madison Village Assisted Living became part of Linda’s extended circle through their compassionate and dedicated care.
Linda was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hot Springs.
