Linda Knight Brownlee

Linda Knight Brownlee, 71, of Laurens, South Carolina, passed away on March 10, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born on October 8, 1954, to the late William and Clara Reece Knight, Linda was a devoted lifetime member of New Prospect Baptist Church, where she actively supported programs for toddlers and youth, served on numerous committees, and participated in many church initiatives. She held a deep love for her church, her community, her friends, and her neighbors. Known for her caring and generous spirit, Linda was always ready to help others in any way she could. She retired from the Bi-Lo Grocery Chain and from Gwinns Siding of Laurens.

Above all, Linda cherished her family. She is survived by her son, David Brownlee (Mandy), and three granddaughters, Jordan Cook (Jody), Lilly, and Konner Brownlee. She also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Salah and Pierson. Additional survivors include her sister, Vicky B. Padgett (Terry), her brother, William (Bill) Knight (Susan), two nephews, Joshua Barnes and Michael Knight (Allison), and two nieces, Shannon Sanders (Kevin) and Laura Knight (Cody). She was predeceased by her husband, Astor Broadus Brownlee, III, and her parents.
