Linda Kay Morton

Linda Kay Davis Morton, 73, of Jacksonville, entered the presence of her Lord on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Born on June 8, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Bennie Lee and Sena Davis. A graduate of White Oak High School, Linda retired from Onslow Senior Services after many years of dedicated service as a certified nursing assistant. She was known for her skill as a great Southern cook and for the compassionate care she showed others, especially children and senior citizens.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Steven H. Morton, and her siblings Jimmy Davis, Joe Ed Davis, and Rosa Barwick.

Linda is survived by her children, Stephanie Hight and husband Jim, and Michael Morton and wife Melissa; her grandchildren, Ellie and Anna Hight; and her siblings Percy Davis, Ronnie Davis, and Christine Capps. Her family will always cherish the love and warmth she brought into their lives.
