Linda Kay Minor

Linda Kay Minor, 70, of Lubbock, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born on May 9, 1955, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to Noel and Gladys Ligon, she grew up in Lubbock, Texas, and graduated from Lubbock High School. For many years she worked as a painting sub-contractor. Linda found quiet joy in fishing, tending to her flowers and plants, and being present for the births of her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Wetzel.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Linda Meeks and husband Warren of Lubbock; son, Timmy Morrell of Lubbock; grandsons Gary Phillips of Lubbock and Zachary McCartie of Plainview; granddaughters Kayla McCartie of Hamlin, Sara Wesley and husband Doug of Arnett, Oklahoma, Mycehlle Meeks, Cheyenne Meeks, and Evelyn Meeks of Lubbock; great-grandchildren Nevaeh Scott and Ashlynne Acker of Hamlin, and Lucas Wesley of Arnett, Oklahoma; sisters Loretta Bell and husband Gary of New Deal and Billie Snyder of Springdale, Arizona; and brother David Snyder of Lubbock.
