Scottsburg, IN

Linda Kay Boyd, 64, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 12, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1962, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Zon Boyd and Betty Alsup. Linda was the steadfast heart of her family, always placing the needs of others before her own. She found her greatest joy in time spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. The beach was her favorite place, where she created countless cherished memories with her family. She also took pleasure in caring for her plants, traveling, and riding her Harley motorcycle, embracing the freedom of the open road. Her vibrant spirit and appreciation for life’s simple moments touched everyone around her.

Linda’s strength and determination were evident throughout her life. She fearlessly took on home improvement projects and, at the age of 54, embarked on a new career path. In 2018 she earned an Associate of Science degree in Radiologic Technology from Sullivan University. She worked as a radiologic technologist at Baptist Louisville Hospital, where she provided years of compassionate care to her patients and colleagues alike.

A woman of Christian faith, Linda lived with kindness and warmth. She will be remembered for her caring and welcoming heart, her adventurous spirit, and the deep love she shared with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Rodney Boyd. Linda is survived by her sons, Shane McCrady (Krista), Dustin McCrady (Kenzi), and Kyle Morris (Anna); her sisters, Shelly Boyd-Meenach (Larry), Monica Nevils, Janie Bell (James), Tammy Garfield, and Brenda Marlow (Bob); her brothers, Tommy Boyd, Alan Meyers (Cyndi), and Bill Shepherd (Tonwia); her loving fiancé, Danny Pierpont; ten grandchildren, Caleb, Briar, Kaydence, Ramsey, Taylor, Daisy, Kindlin, Ivan, Oaken, and Harper; and two great-grandchildren.
