She was preceded in death by her sister Elaine Rembrandt and her parents Rebecca and Jay Katz. She carried in her heart the memory of her beloved daughter Cheri, and her husband of 20 years, Jerry Hackman.Linda was a devoted mother to her son, Eric Wasserstrom, and his wife, Jennifer. She is also survived by Audrey Hackman, Michael (Caroline) Hackman, Steven Hackman, Amy Hackman (Doug Stefanko) and Mia Hackman (Ralph Smith), as well as her niece, Jill Rembrandt, and nephews Bran and Jeff Rembrandt.One of Linda's greatest joys in life was being a grandmother. She cherished every moment with her grandchildren Chloe, Phoebe, and Wendy Wasserstrom, Justin (Shiri) Hackman, Gabriel Hackman (John Beebe), Michael Herwald, Jessica Herwald (Ryan Chitwood) and Robert (Kacie) Herwald, all whom she adored beyond measure.Linda embraced life with laughter and emotion. She loved playing tennis, bridge and gardening. She found great joy in theater and the arts. Whether enjoying a game, a performance, or time spent with family and friends, Linda brought laughter, warmth, and caring to all who knew her.Above all, Linda valued connection-family, friendship, and community-and she remained surrounded by loved ones at the end of her life, a reflection of the deep bonds she built throughout the years.Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the Old Tifereth Israel Cemetery (corner of Alum Creek Dr. and Integrity Dr.)Please Park either on Integrity Drive or in the Northbound Lane of Alum Creek Drive.Shiva will be observed at Congregation Tifereth Israel, 1354 E.
