Linda Kathleen Thompson

Linda Kathleen Thompson

December 1, 1953 March 14, 2026

Jenks, OK

Linda Kathleen Thompson, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of faith, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Linda was born on December 1, 1953, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She spent her life building a home centered around family, hard work, and caring for others. She grew up in Tulsa and later spent more than 45 years in Jenks, Oklahoma with her beloved husband, Brian Thompson.

Linda was known for her strong spirit, her hardworking nature, and the deep love she had for her family. Linda’s faith was the foundation of her life. She loved the Lord, always put Him first, and often reminded her children and grandchildren to do the same. She was someone who would do anything for the people she loved, and her family was always at the center of her world.

Linda was a dedicated and hardworking woman throughout her life. She often shared stories about some of her earliest jobs, including working at Kinney’s Shoes when she was young and later at a wig shop, memories she always enjoyed talking about. In the late 1970s through the mid-1980s, she served as a production manager at Microphoto Data Microfilm. She later spent many years working in the cosmetic industry before beginning a long career with ABM Industries. During her time with ABM, Linda held several positions and spent many years working at Tulsa Community College, particularly with the VanTrease PACE. At the time of her passing, she was serving as the ABM manager for Tulsa Community College’s Southeast Campus.

Linda especially loved fishing with her husband, Brian, and spending time together at their cabin in Cedar Crest. It was one of her favorite places to be, where she and her family created countless memories that will always be treasured. Some of her happiest moments there were simply being with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were truly her pride and joy.

Linda cared deeply about helping others. She supported the Child Advocacy Network and helped lead a blanket and stuffed animal drive at Tulsa Community College for many years, bringing comfort to children in need.

She also enjoyed watching OU Softball and loved talking about the games with her brother, Ricky.

Over the past several months, Linda faced life with incredible strength and determination. She remained an example to her grandchildren of resilience, compassion, and the importance of never giving up and always helping others.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Vivian Maxine Torix and Donald Foster, and her brother, George Foster.

She is survived by her loving husband, Brian Thompson; her son, Wade Smith and wife Lauran; her daughter, Nichole Taylor and husband Jordan; and her beloved grandchildren, Cameron Smith, Emme Taylor, Ashton Taylor, and Carson Smith. She is also survived by her brother, Ricky Foster; her Aunt Kathleen Rose; several cousins across the country; and nieces and nephews across the country.

Linda will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the deep love she had for her family. The example she set — to put God first in your life, to love deeply, stay strong, never give up, and always help others — will guide those who knew and loved her. The faith she lived by and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through the family she cherished so much.

Services celebrating Linda’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Tulsa, Oklahoma with Pastor Deron Spoo officiating. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
