Linda K. Smith

Linda K. Smith, 80, of the Goodsprings community, passed away on March 4, 2026, in Henderson. Born on January 22, 1946, in Upshur County, Texas, to James and Melba (Price) Hogue, she spent most of her life as a homemaker in Goodsprings, where she raised her family and created a warm home for those she loved.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, James and Melba Hogue; her husband, Lewis Smith; her sister, Judy Ann Holt; and her great-niece, Megan Deason.

She is survived by her brothers, Larry Hogue of Splendora and Danny Hogue and his wife Monica of Carrollton; her brother-in-law, James Holt of Marshall; and her nieces and nephews and their spouses, Chris Deason and Buffie of Jacksonville, Shannon Deason and Nicole Hurry of Central, Louisiana, Taylor Hogue of Grapevine, and Mallory Tipton and Travis of Rowlett. She also leaves behind a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and many other cherished family members and friends.
