Linda Jean Simmons

Linda Jean Simmons, born on September 21, 1946, in Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, at AdventHealth Lake Wales at the age of 79.

Linda moved to Florida as a teenager and made her home there for the rest of her life. She built a long and rewarding career as a hairdresser and owner of Touch of Class Hair Salon, where her skill and personal care touched the lives of countless clients.

She found great joy in spending time with her family, watching NASCAR races, and traveling to new places. These simple pleasures brought her consistent happiness throughout her years.

Linda is survived by her son James Simmons and his wife Dawreen of Lakeland, her son Terry Simmons and his wife Jennifer of Alabama, and her sister Patricia Hines of Polk City. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Shawn Simmons, Katelyn Howland, and Tiffany Provenzano, along with eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Eustice Preston, her son Tim Simmons, and her grandchild Steven Simmons.
