Linda Hyatt

WALLACE — Linda Patterson Hyatt, age 81, of Wallace, South Carolina, died Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at her home. She was born in Hamlet, North Carolina, a daughter of the late William Lloyd Patterson and Dorothy Taylor Patterson. She was the owner of Hyatt's Auction and Appliance. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Along with parents she is preceded in death by brother, William Lloyd Patterson; sister, Norma Jean Patterson; and brother, James Richard Patterson. Left to cherish her memory are children, Tammy Lynn Hyatt, and son in law, Gregg Childers, of the home; Anita Kelly of Wallace, SC; Christopher Hyatt and daughter in law, Ashley Holman of Wallace, SC; Brent Hyatt of Rockingham, NC; Michael Hyatt of Wallace, SC; two stepchildren Teresa Smith (Tim) and Howard Hyatt Jr. of Bennettsville, SC; brothers Donald Patterson (Cheryl) and Jerry Patterson (Debbie) of Hamlet, NC; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 1-2 p.m. at King's Gate Church in Hamlet, NC. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 2 p.m. with Pastor Eddie McLean and Becky Nance officiating. The family will receive friends during other times at the family home. We would like to extend a special thanks to Tammie Hogan, Amy Lawrence, Nikki Wiese and Jamie Norton for helping us take care of our mama.
