Linda Howe

Linda Howe, 73, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 11, 2026, in Bangor. She was born on December 22, 1952, in Detroit, the daughter of the late Harold Flood and Eleanor Braley Flood.

A graduate of Nokomis High School with the class of 1971, Linda worked for more than 20 years at Dexter Shoe and Northeast Shoe before retiring in 2020 from Duvaltec, formerly Guilford of Maine, after more than 30 years of dedicated service. She was a doer, a giver, and a maker of beautiful things, known for her heart of gold and her constant thoughtfulness toward others. She found joy in visiting casinos, exploring yard sales, traveling, playing cribbage, poker, and BINGO, but nothing meant more to her than spending time with her family.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Carrie Gyles and Beckie Warger and husband Paul; grandchildren Samuel Walker, Katelyn Walker, Sadie Warger, Ben Warger, and Matthew Gyles and wife Jessica; great-grandchildren Connor and Amelia; her siblings Andrew Flood and wife Loretta, Michael Flood, Edwin Flood, Peter Flood, Tina Bradford and husband Mark, Martin Flood, Christine Rowe, Tricia Bubar and husband Reggie, Aimee Graves and husband Steve, and Jennifer LaBrecque and husband Joey; many nieces and nephews; and her grand fur babies. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Joe Flood, her sister Frances Huff and husband Harry, and her brother-in-law Dennis Rowe.
