Linda Heath

Linda Jones Heath, 85, of Kernersville, North Carolina, passed away on March 9, 2026, at Cadence Senior Living in Wake Forest.

Born on July 17, 1940, in Guilford County to William Glaster and Eva Hemrick Jones, Linda was a lifelong member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church. She worked at R.J. Reynolds until her children were born, after which she devoted herself fully to raising her boys, caring for her parents, and helping with her grandchildren. A natural caregiver, she cherished every opportunity to spend time with her family and was one of her children’s and grandchildren’s biggest supporters at their sports and activities.

Linda was a devoted UVA fan who loved sports, gardening, and tending to her beautiful flower beds. She had a special gift for making others feel loved and welcome through her warm presence, engaging conversation, gentle smile, and homemade baked goods. She was also known for her exceptional sweet tea, along with her chips and dip.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Heath; her son, Bryan Heath; her parents; her brother, Gary Jones; sisters-in-law Barbara Jones, Kathy Jones, and Joy Heath Bumgarner; and brothers-in-law Bill Bumgarner and Ronnie Heath. She is survived by her son, Zach Heath (wife, Lauren); five grandchildren, Hadley, Hunter, Hudson, Matthew, and Ellie; brother-in-law Mark Heath (wife, Debbie); sister-in-law Jean Heath; and many loving nieces and nephews.
