Linda Gail Floyd

Linda Gail Floyd, age 78, of Thomasville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, at her residence. Born on May 1, 1947, in Blackshear, Georgia, to the late Lee and Ollie Godwin, Linda dedicated her life to education. She earned a Specialist Degree and touched countless lives as a beloved teacher in the Thomas County School System.

A devoted member of Dawson Street Baptist Church, Linda’s faith and love for the Lord remained central to her life. Her unwavering commitment to her family and community left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, David Floyd (Penny) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Amanda Morey of Thomasville; her grandchildren, Anna Higginbotham (Trent), Christopher Floyd, Ethan Floyd, Jordan Morey, Jaime Floyd (Damion Walker), Carrie Floyd, and Joshua Morey; and her brother, Lee Godwin, Jr. of Thomasville. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Floyd, and her son-in-law, Brett Morey. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication.
