Linda Faye Raymond

Linda Faye Merritt Raymond, daughter of the late George and Lillie Mae Teel Merritt, was born July 19, 1954, in Greenville, North Carolina. She passed away on March 9, 2026.

A longtime member of Moores Baptist Church, Linda served faithfully in its Culinary Ministry. For more than thirty years she worked as a chef at Reed CDC in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. She was also active in the Daughters of Isis, served as Worthy Matron of the Eastern Stars, and participated in the Progressive Chapter #63 and the Teen Expo. In her free time she found joy in shopping, cooking, music, dancing, traveling, and playing softball. Above all, she cherished spoiling her grandchildren and other children in her life.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Raymond, Jr., and her brother, Ronald Merritt. She is survived by her children, Shelia (Troy) Mitchell, Livingston (Pastor Felicia) Merritt, and Sierra Raymond; her siblings, Alfonsa Merritt, Marsha Baugus, Vanessa (Harold) Moss, Phillip Merritt, George Merritt, Lisa McDowell, Gloria (Lesroy) Chambers, Garry (Yolanda) Merritt, Jeffery Merritt, Valerie Weaver, and Barbara (Allelle) Moore; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
