Linda Cook, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 10, 2026, in Cleveland, Alabama, at the age of 75. Born on February 24, 1951, she dedicated her life to nurturing those around her and creating a warm home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Throughout her life, Linda found joy in sewing, gardening, and cooking, each reflecting her nurturing spirit. She especially loved shopping with her grandchildren, who were everything to her. A devoted grandmother, she took pride in teaching them life’s lessons and creating lasting memories, whether through storytelling or family trips to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, a place close to her heart.

Linda’s family was her greatest treasure. She is survived by her devoted husband, Clifford Allen Cook; her daughter, Misty Stedham; and her son, John Cook (Lauren). Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren: Caelyn Stedham, Jacob Stedham, Ashley Cook, and Macy Cook, who will always remember her as a guiding light and source of unwavering support. She also leaves behind her brother, Donald Spurgeon (Regina), her sister, Sandra Hubbard (Cecil), and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Donald Warren Spurgeon; her mother, Vera Nell McCay Spurgeon; and her son-in-law, Wesley “Brandon” Stedham. Her warmth, generosity, and deep love for family will remain with all who knew her, continuing to illuminate their lives.
