Linda Austin

Linda Marie Oldcorn Austin, born January 29, 1952, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Robert and Grace Oldcorn, passed away on March 8, 2026. One of nine children, she grew up surrounded by a large family that remained central to her life.

Preceded in death by her parents, sisters Grace and Sylvia, brothers Billy, Larry, and Danny, her son Steven, grandchildren Brian and Sunni, and her husband of 36 years, Wilson “Buddy” Austin, Linda is survived by her brothers Bob, Mike, and Rick, as well as her children Brian, 56, Jeff, 55, and Chris, 38. She held deep affection for her many nieces and nephews—Billy, Tommy, Lorena, Rick, Linda, Suzie, Robert, Cheryl, Jackie, David, David, Robert, Randi, Trisha, Jason, Eric, Renee, Shannon, Mike, and Misty—and cherished her grandchildren Donavin, Nate, Hailey, Carleigh, and Saralynn. Family was the heart of her world, and she lived fully for those she loved.

For nearly 30 years, Linda worked as a certified nursing aide, bringing dedication and compassion to her calling. Known as a force to be reckoned with, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
