Lina Vosefski ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Posey Funeral Directors - North Augusta on Feb. 27, 2026.Evans, GA- Graveside Services for Mrs. Lina Vosefski, 98, who entered into rest February 27, 2026, will be conduct Monday morning March 9th at 11 o'clock in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening March 8th from 3 until 5 o'clock.Lina was born and spent her early years in Offenbach - Bieber Germany. War torn Germany shaped the stories of her early teens. As a young adult she worked as a teletype operator at the IG Farben Building in Frankfurt. Here she met her husband of 64 years Albert J. Vosefski. Marriage brought her to the States and eventually to Augusta, Ga where she has spent the last 62 years. Lina's family and friends will remember her loving and feisty spirit. She enjoyed when her children and grandchildren gathered at her home for dinners and afternoons together. With her friends she enjoyed hosting and attending afternoon coffee's. She had a regular Stammtisch that met for many years. Lina filled her personal time with busy hands. She enjoyed baking especially during the holidays. Some will remember the clothing she sewed and that knitting needles were almost always in her hands.She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Albert Joseph Vosefski and her daughter Susan Vosefski. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (Brett) Turner; three grandchildren, Sarah (John) Ross, Courtney (Cole) Thompson and Samantha (Anthony) Fabish; four great-grandchildren, Oliver Ross, Anna Louis Ross, Emma Thompson and Albert Thompson.In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at https://donorservices.alz.org or P.O.
