Mrs. Lillie Mae Bennett, 95, of Vidalia passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at her residence. She was born May 31, 1930, in Lyons to the late John Young and Viola Rogers. Lillie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William James Bennett; daughters, Shirley Bennett, Alberta Bennett; son, Willie James Bennett; brother, John Young, Jr. Clinton Rogers; sister, Telithia Young.

Survivors include her sons, Andrew James Bennett (Carolyn) of Oviedo, FL, Jessie James Bennett of Lyons; daughters, Bobbie Kent, Rosella Anthony (Clifford), both of Lyons, Gail McKinney (Charlie) of Metter, Carolyn Floyd (Timmy) of Bartow, Jacqueline Anthony (Phil) of Oak Park; sister, Rosie Lee Harmon of Jacksonville, FL; 42 grandchildren, 106 great-grandchildren, 35 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 1 P.M. Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at First African Baptist Church in Vidalia with Reverend Johnny Samson officiating.

Interment will follow at White’s Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Daedric Anthony, Michael Anthony, Edwin Bennett, Alfreddie Bennett, Robert Kent, Jr., and Marquez Clay.
