LILLIAN LAVERNE STAFFORD BALDWIN MEDLEY,98, departed this world for her eternal heavenly home on March 6,2026.

She was born Lillian LaVerne Dickson on January 9, 1928 to parents Elizabeth Dee and Herman Isaac Dickson in DeQueen, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Cecil Herman Dickson, two half sisters Letitia (Petty) Miller and Elizabeth (Petty) Almstedt, twin sons Larry and Gary Stafford, husband Donald G. Stafford, Sr., husband Clarence Dean Baldwin, and husband Roy M. Medley.

Those left to cherish her memory include; sons Gene Stafford (Cheryl) of Malvern, Ray Stafford (Debra) of North Little Rock, Douglas Stafford (Mary) of Vilonia, David Stafford (Barbara) of Mayflower, and daughter Patricia Hudson of Jacksonville, grandchildren Jason and Steven Forrest, Lori and Karen Taylor, Michael and Kimberly Stafford, and Shane Lege’, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Lillian worked at several jobs while raising her children, including waitressing at Miller’s Coffee Shop and clerk at Moses Melody Shop. After her children were grown, she went to work as a clerk for Arkla Gas Co until retirement. After retiring from Arkla, she shuttled cars for National Car Rental Co.

She was a woman of strong faith and devotion, raised in the teachings of Calvary Baptist Church where her love for God and family was deeply rooted. Her life reflected the values she cherished most—God, family, and a commitment to living a conservative and meaningful life. She enjoyed reading her Bible, listening to music, and spending time surrounded by the beauty of flowers. Known for her strength and independence, she carried herself with quiet determination and grace. She will be remembered for her steadfast faith, loving heart, and the simple joys that brought meaning to her life.

Also of special mention are the ladies of the Naomi Class of Calvary Baptist Church in North Little Rock, and special friend Molly Elkins and family.

The family wishes to express sincere thanks to Rosa Gentry of Assisted Care for Seniors, Springhill Baptist In-Hospital Hospice and Comfort Care Center hospice facility for their kindness and loving care during the end of her life’s journey.
