Liliya Kononenko was born on February 7, 1968, in Kharkiv, Ukraine. She grew up and received her education in her native city, graduating from university. From an early age, Liliya was a person of deep faith. She attended a Baptist church, where she found joy in music, singing, and serving God.

In 1991, she married Mikhail Kononenko. Their marriage, rooted in love, faithfulness, and shared Christian faith, brought them many years of mutual support and companionship. Mikhail passed away in 2013. Later, Liliya moved to the United States, where she lived in Indiana and worked for more than twenty years as an industrial seamstress, known for her diligence, patience, and strong sense of responsibility.

Throughout her life, Liliya remained a devoted Christian. She actively participated in her Baptist church, playing musical instruments and singing with heartfelt devotion. She took part in missionary and humanitarian efforts in Donbas, offering help and comfort to those in need. She also cared tenderly for her mother, Nina Domricheva, demonstrating lifelong respect and devotion to her family.

Liliya was a loving mother and a sincere, kind-hearted woman whose faith, gentle spirit, and care for others touched everyone around her. She passed away on March 11, 2026. She is survived by her son, Dmitriy Kononenko, her daughter-in-law, Ella, and her beloved granddaughter, Angella. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
