Lila Mae Thor

Lila Mae Thor of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on March 16, 2026 at the age of 88. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose quiet strength and steadfast love left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Predeceased by her parents, Nolan and Della Barnes, her husband Braden Thor, and her granddaughter Jessica Thor, Lila is survived by her sons, Brian Thor and his wife Kristyn, and Mark Thor; her grandchildren, Benjamin Thor and his wife Kalynn, Joshua Thor and his wife Karla, and Sarah Songaila and her husband Matthew; her great-grandchildren, Laney, Shepherd, Josie, and Evangeline; and her sister, Myrna Swanson.

Throughout her life, Lila remained deeply connected to her family, cherishing the generations that followed her and finding joy in their accomplishments and everyday moments together. Her presence brought warmth and stability to those she loved, and she will be remembered with great affection by all who were fortunate enough to be part of her family.
