As Lidia departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Lidia. Though Lidia may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfonso Cantu and Timotea Garcia. She is survived by: her children, Ismael G Cantu (Alberto Ramirez), Israel Gonzalez, Timotea Gonzalez Jr. and Maria Idalia Garcia (Agustin); and her siblings, Juan Cantu and Elvira Cantu. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel Of (2929 W Expy 83, Weslaco, TX 78599). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the San Martin de Porres Catholic Church (901 N Texas Blvd, Weslaco, TX 78596). A burial will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Weslaco City Cemetery (425 Academy Dr, Weslaco, TX 78596).
