Though Lidia may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfonso Cantu and Timotea Garcia. She is survived by: her children, Ismael G Cantu (Alberto Ramirez), Israel Gonzalez, Timotea Gonzalez Jr. and Maria Idalia Garcia (Agustin); and her siblings, Juan Cantu and Elvira Cantu. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel Of (2929 W Expy 83, Weslaco, TX 78599). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the San Martin de Porres Catholic Church (901 N Texas Blvd, Weslaco, TX 78596). A burial will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Weslaco City Cemetery (425 Academy Dr, Weslaco, TX 78596).
