Libby A. Finley

Libby Ann Finley, 59, of Galesburg, Illinois, died peacefully at home on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 12:15 a.m.

Known affectionately as Libbylou by her close family and friends, Libby was born on September 13, 1966 in Huntington, West Virginia, the daughter of Phyllis Bledsoe Curtis. She worked for several years as a caregiver before transitioning to hotel housekeeping and later found her place in the restaurant business. A quiet homebody at heart, she cherished peaceful evenings on the front porch, watching her favorite soap operas, and savoring a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. In her later years, Libby developed a deep and abiding faith in God, turning to prayer each day for comfort and strength.

She is survived by her two sisters, Tammy Nevels of Galesburg and Donna Schenburg of Kentucky, and her dearest friend, Darlene (Matthew) Anderson of Galesburg. Libby was preceded in death by her mother, four brothers, and her twin sister, Vicki.
