He was predeceased by: his parents, L. Don Patterson and Florence Patterson; his wife Phyllis Patterson; and his son John Alan Patterson. He is survived by: his sister Joan Line; and his children, L. Thomas Patterson, Jr. (Therese), Larry T. Patterson (Mary), Jan Patterson Taylor (William) and Lynn Seymour (John). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (2 N Hanover St, Carlisle, PA 17013). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In keeping with his lifelong commitment to service, the family invites memorial contributions to organizations that reflect his values: First Presbyterian Church of Carlisle, Chapel Pointe, and the Homeland Center of Harrisburg.
