Lewis G. Law

Lewis Law, age 87, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away on March 13, 2026, at his residence. Born on February 12, 1939, in Griffin, he was the son of the late Henry Law and Eunice Hoard Helms. A 1957 graduate of LaGrange High School, where he played football, Lewis went on to serve his country as a proud veteran in the United States Air Force. He later became a detective with the City of Griffin Police Department before earning a degree in criminal justice from Georgia State University and a law degree from John Marshall Law School. He retired as head of investigative security for Eastern Airlines in the Atlanta region. Lewis was also a longtime member of Trinity Methodist Church and co-owner of Jones-Harrison Furniture Store. He remained an avid golfer and devoted Georgia Bulldog football fan throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sharon Law; his children, Keith Law (Paula), Rhonda Strickland (Gary), and Kenny Law; his grandchildren, Brent Pass (Jessica), Brandie Thomas (Erik), Brandon Law (Taylor), Hunter Law, Josh Law (Megan), and Ben Law (Kimberley); several great-grandchildren; and his niece, Whitney Wiggins (Tim).
