Stringer Funeral Home - Kirbyville on Mar. 17, 2026.Lessie Ruth Wiggins, 74 of Kirbyville passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, March 20, 2026, at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Trout Creek Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 pm prior to service.Born February 2, 1952, to Joseph Sandefer and Clemie (Busby) in Jasper, Texas, she enjoyed being able to stay home and raise her children. MawMaw was a mother by nature. She raised 5 kids of her own, 3 grandkids, and numerous other nieces, nephews, and random kids. She found joy in the sounds of children playing. No matter how her health was, she always wanted to make sure her loved ones were squared away first before tending to her own needs. She loved fiercely and without apology, and did her best to be there any time her family needed her. She held on to her faith in God even in the most trying of times, even offering prayer to strangers she felt needed a little extra peace. She wasn't big on nonsense, but she did try to understand the struggles of others and approach a situation from a place of empathy rather than malice. She tried to make sure that her family was blessed with the love of God. She loved attending church when her health would permit, and she loved to sing old hymns both at church and at home. She wasn't perfect by any means, but when she made a mistake, she did her best to remedy it.She is survived by children, Norma Ruth Jones Bennington, Robert Craft, Sr., Michelle Rawls and Stacy Tidwell, Clint Craft and Janet Cline, Michael McDonald, Latisha Jones; brothers, Wilmer Bebee, James Sandefer, Stanley Sandefer, Jerry Bebee, Johnny Bebee; sister, Dorcas Wilson; grandchildren, Wynoee Nevels, Justin Eaves, Robert Craft, Jr., Skylar Craft and Tristan Prewitt, Joseph Craft, Brandie Clark, Shyane Brown, Odin Bruner, Aaron Smith, Nicholas Simmons, Krystal Simmons; great grandchildren; Harley, David, Serenity, Athena, Lyric, Aleah, Harmony, Levi, Savanaha, Josie Maurine.She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Joseph Wiggins; children, Melissa McDonald, Robert Jones, Krystal Hyatt.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
