Leslie H. Williams

Leslie H. Williams, 86, of Washington, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, surrounded by his family after a brief illness.

Born on June 25, 1939, in Tiptonville, Tennessee, to James and Theodocius Grissom Williams, Les married Carol Clark on February 20, 1960, in Peoria. He is survived by his wife Carol of Washington, their three children, Brian (Donna) Williams of Washington, Beverly (Mark) Obery of Metamora, Illinois, and Blair Williams of Washington, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. His parents, five sisters, and two brothers preceded him in death.

Les loved all sports and remained a lifelong San Francisco Giants baseball fan. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and found joy in listening to gospel music, singing, fishing, and sharing meals with friends and family. A devoted member of Calvary Community Church for many years, he actively participated in its various activities and fellowship.
