Les MacLeod

Les MacLeod

Saskatoon, SK

Les MacLeod of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 65. He was the beloved husband of Darcy MacLeod (née Stubbs), cherished father of Geoffrey MacLeod and Mark MacLeod (Mallory Maloof), and proud grandfather of Bennett and William MacLeod, who were the little lights of his life.

Born to the late Clarence Earl MacLeod and Beverly Jean MacLeod (née Moore) of Craik, Saskatchewan, and later Saskatoon, Les was also the son-in-law of the late William Lyle Stubbs and Elizabeth Stubbs (née Shields). He was a dear brother to Gregory MacLeod (Marilyn, née Cheyne) and a loving uncle to Riley and Brooklyn MacLeod and Kimberly Stubbs. He will be fondly remembered by his brothers- and sisters-in-law David Stubbs of Penticton, British Columbia; June Stubbs of Saskatoon; and Gordon Stubbs (Valerie, née Nash) of Rosetown, Saskatchewan, along with many cousins, extended family members, and his loyal dogs, Teddy and Bear.

Les built his career in telecommunications, living and working in both Saskatoon and Airdrie, Alberta, while travelling extensively throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba. He found great pleasure in fishing, golfing, and spending summers with family at their cabin on Lake Diefenbaker, a gathering place for more than half a century where friendly competition thrived with the addition of a mini putt course, bocce court, and pickleball court.

He will be remembered for his quiet humour, steady presence, and deep love for his family. The lake, family gatherings, and time spent with his grandchildren brought him some of his greatest joys.
