Leroy S. Duborko

1941 — 2026

New Plymouth, ID

Leroy Samuel Duborko, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at the age of 84, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the love of his family. Born on October 10, 1941, in New Plymouth, Idaho, he was the beloved son of Samuel and Elizabeth Duborko. From an early age, Leroy displayed the kindness, generosity, and steadfast desire to help others that defined his life. He graduated from New Plymouth High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a deep devotion to his community.

Leroy spent his life working the land he loved as a farmer, raising cattle and hogs with the same care he gave to his family. He also operated a service station, where he greeted everyone with a warm smile and genuine kindness. A proud member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of New Plymouth, his faith served as a cornerstone throughout his life. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in fishing at the Marsing pond, tending his abundant vegetable and flower gardens, and working on projects around his home. His hands were rarely idle, and his green thumb was legendary.

Family was the heart of Leroy’s world. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Jean Hermann and May Lee, his beloved daughters Tammy and Melissa, and his great-grandson Jerry. He is lovingly remembered by his children Laura Wood, Suzanne (Lee) Marchbanks, Stephanie (Javier) Gonzalez, and Martin Barrett; his twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who were like family to him. Those who knew him will remember a man of extraordinary character—always ready with a helping hand, a gentle word, or a heartfelt laugh. His life was a testament to generosity, faith, and love, leaving a legacy that endures in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
