Leonardo Portillo

Leonardo Portillo, 91, of El Dorado, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026. He was born on February 12, 1935, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Lugardo Portillo and Francisca Balderama Portillo.

A devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Leonardo cherished every moment spent with his family. He lived a long life marked by love, hard work, and unwavering dedication to those closest to him. His family will remember him for his strength, kindness, and the enduring legacy he leaves behind through the many generations that follow.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Irma Roberts and Martha Hernandez; daughter-in-law, Maria Elena Portillo; and grandson, Richard Portillo Jr.

Leonardo is survived by his children: Leonardo Portillo Jr., Leopoldo Apolinar Israel Portillo (Poli), Jesus Ricardo Portillo and wife Sandra, Jose Portillo and wife Faye, Juan Martin Portillo and wife Elaine, Maria Dolores Elias (Lola) and husband Martin, Sonia Margarita Goff (Maggie) and husband Bruce, and Griselda Dorman. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-granddaughters Jimena Martinez and Tamia Martinez, who is expected soon.
