Bainbridge, 80, of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.Born in Trenton, Lenny resided there before settling down in Hamilton. He was an honorably discharged US Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War. After his service he went on to work as a Correctional Police Officer for Mercer County Detention Center until his retirement in 1994.Lenny was a member of the American Legion Post #313, was involved with the Bordentown Elks Lodge #2085 for many years, served as Treasurer for the State PBA #105 and was a member of the National Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #096. In his free time, Lenny enjoyed hunting and fishing. He spent afternoons in Atlantic City and lived life on his own terms. An avid Philadelphia sports fan, he was a proud supporter of the Phillies and the Eagles.Predeceased by his parents, Walter and Estelle Bainbridge; his son, Kevin Bainbridge; and his wife, Carol Bainbridge. Lenny's memory will be carried on by his sister, Celeste Bainbridge; his niece, Toni Sargent; his girlfriend, Elizabeth Chiacchio; as well as many loving friends and loved ones.Cremation services were held privately.Interment of the urn will take place on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 1:15 p.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery in Hamilton.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lenny's memory to the American Heart Association by visiting www.heart.org or the American Cancer Society by visiting www.cancer.org.Arrangements are under the direction of the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
