Leonard F. Gahagan

Leonard F. Gahagan of Chanute, Kansas, passed away on March 16, 2026, at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund and Mary Gahagan (Jacquinot); his siblings, Bill, John Gahagan, and Mary Jo; and his brother-in-law, Gene Spielbusch.

He is survived by his wife, Melba Gahagan; his sons, Brian Gahagan and Thomas Vande Linde (Jake); his grandchildren, Brendon (Kayli), Gabriel, Ella, and Joseph; his brother, Larry; his sisters-in-law, Katie Lumm of Denison and Rita Gahagan of Benton, Kansas; his sister, Frances Gahagan-Will of Andover, Kansas; and many beloved nieces and nephews, including Ruth Ann Kindall, Ed, Kim Spielbusch, Jan, Mike Pippig, Steve, Kris Gahagan, Robert, Karen Gahagan, Greg, Kelli Lumm, Duane, and Lori Schultze.

Leonard lived a life rooted in faith and family, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength and devotion that touched all who knew him. His memory will be cherished by those who loved him most.
