Leona Jane Johnson

Leona Jane Johnson passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, shortly after 3 p.m. She is survived by her husband Barry, brother John (Dawn) Wyatt, sister Marjorie McCrae, and her children Timothy (Kristen) York, Tim (fiancée Victoria) Johnson, Melissa (AJ) Plichta, and Rebecca Johnson. She was a proud and adored grandmother to Mia, Landon, Kaylee, Ronan, Alexander, Sean, Zander, Ian, and the late Angel, and a great-grandmother of two. Leona was also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and a cherished friend to many. Her family was the center of her world, and she loved them deeply.

Leona loved the Lord with all her heart, and her church was an extension of her family. Spending time with loved ones brought her the greatest joy. Her second great passion was nursing; she cared for others for more than forty years and often introduced herself by saying she had been a nurse for over four decades. In addition to her faith, church, and career, she found delight in singing in the choir, leading and teaching the Keenagers Group alongside Barry, participating in missions, and watching Hallmark movies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Marjorie Wyatt.
